Course Descriptions:
This course provides in-depth technical knowledge about the administration of Network Automation (NA) 2019.x.
It is intended for those who might need to use NA features, such as Device Driver Development, Administration with APIs using Java, Perl and SOAP Interfaces, Inventory Database Reporting using SQL, Integration with Micro Focus Software products, such as NNMi and OO, Integration with LDAP and TACACS+ for security, and advanced command-line interface options. This four day course is a mixture of lectures and hands-on exercises. Network Automation 2019.05 is used during the hands-on exercises.
This course is designed for users who already have some prior knowledge and hands-on experience with Network Automation 2019.x.
Course Targeted Audience:
This course is intended for NA administrators and anyone responsible for the installation and maintenance of NA.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to plan for an Advanced NA implementation using the following features:
- Create reports extracting information directly from the NA database using SQL queries
- Use Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and Terminal Access Controller Access Control System (TACACS+) as external authentication for NA
- Implement integration with Network Node Manager i (NNMi) and Operations Orchestration (OO)
- Maximize the performance of an NA server and perform in-depth diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Extract data from the NA Inventory through NA APIs and code using the Java and Perl programming languages
- Use the API/Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) interfaces to achieve rich integrations with third party or in-house software
- Build custom device drivers to access a vendor supplied network device, perform device configuration and capture device snapshots
- Implement multi-server Network Automation (NA) configuration in the Horizontal Scalability deployment to achieve resilience and scalability
Course Pre-Requisites / Recommended Skills:
To be successful in this course you should have the following prerequisites or knowledge:
- Prior knowledge and hands-on experience with NA v2019.x and/or participation in the NA120 - Network Automation 2018.x Essentials course
